Collaborator arrangements


GT Studios is a professional studio, and professional fees are payable under most circumstances. However, occasionally GT Studios will consider collaborating with others where there will be a mutual benefit. To protect the value of our studio for commercial clients, there are certain terms that will need to be met before collaborations will be considered.

Terms


For persons wishing to collaborate with GT Studios Photography, here are the terms of engagement.

  1. A booking fee is due no less than 7 days in advance of your session. This is to prevent “no-shows”, and to lock in a date for you. This booking fee will be refunded when you complete your shoot. A no-show or cancellation within 7 days will forfeit the booking fee. We will endeavour to reschedule shoots if adequate notice is given, or if for medical reasons you can not attend.
  2. Images will be released to you for your social media use on GT Studios’ schedule. You will not receive any images from a shoot until they have been edited.
  3. All images will remain the property of GT Studios (as per international copyright law).
  4. Images will be made available via Dropbox or other mutually agreed method.
  5. Images from your shoot may be used on a variety of public platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, 500px, Viewbug and Patreon by either party.
  6. GT Studios reserves the right to choose with whom they collaborate.
  7. GT Studios and the collaborator will mutually agree on the location, style and content of the shoot.
  8. Multiple collaborators may wish to work together on a shoot – e.g. florist / makeup artist / model / designer. This is more than acceptable - and even encouraged.
  9. You can not take any photos yourself during the shoot. Behind-the-scenes photos will be taken and may be used on various public platforms.
  10. Collaborators under 18 should bring a responsible adult as chaperone.
  11. Collaborators (or their guardian) will be required to sign a model release and photography contract before commencing the shoot.
  12. GT Studios may use the images for magazine submissions and as competition entries.
  13. GT Studios may use the images for their own promotion and advertising.
  14. Should you wish to submit images to a magazine (or similar), GT Studios will prepare and submit high resolution images on your behalf. A fee is charged for this service. You will not receive the high resolution image.
  15. GT Studios wants you to be really happy with the results of the shoot. We always meet with you a few days after the shoot, in person or in a virtual meeting, to review the images and choose our favourites.
  16. Physical products, such as prints and albums, and/or high resolution images may be made available at normal (professional studio) rates.
  17. All images provided will be watermarked. When using these images you must:
  • Include the watermark
  • Credit the photographer
  • Have no filters applied
  • Not be used for derivative works (i.e. be used as the basis of other people’s art).
